BACHELOR'S BREAD

1 qt flour
2 tsp Cream of Tartar
pinch of salt
3/4 tsp soda
Sweet milk to moisten flour to like biscuit dough.

Rub flour and cream of tartar togehter. Dissolve soda in the milk moistening the flour with it and bake at once. Water may be used in place of milk but add 1 tbsp of shortening.
