FOUR WEEK MUFFINS

2 c raisins or dates
4 eggs
1 tsp salt
5 c flour
1 qt buttermilk
2 c 40% bran flakes
1 c boiling water
1 c shortening
2 c sugar
5 tsp soda
4 c 100% bran

Put raisins in water. Let stand 1/2 hour/ Stir in eggs, shorting, sugar, salt, soda & bran with buttermilk. Knead lightly. Bake 15 min at 375. Bake what you want for breakfast. Store rest in refrigerator. Keeps 6 weeks.
