HERB CHEESE AND POTATO BAKE

4 medium sized potatoes
1/3 cup butter (or margine) melted
1/2 teaspoon (tsp) oregano leaves crumbled
1/8 teaspoon (tsp) cumin
1 egg
1 cup creamed cottage cheese
1 teaspoon (tsp) salt
1/2 teaspoon (tsp) ground black pepper
1/2 cup sour cream

Peel and thinly slice potatoes; arrange a layer of the potatoes in the bottom of a buttered 2 quart casserole. Im medium bowl, combine cottage cheese, butter, salt, oregano, black pepper and cumin. Spoon some of this mixture over potatoes. Repeat layering of potatoes and cheese mixture until all are used, ending with cheese.
Bake covered, in a perheated 375 degrees oven utnil potatoes are almost tender, aobut 35 minutes.
Lightly beat together sour cream and egg. Pour over potatoes. Bake, uncovered, until egg mixutre is lightly browned, about 20 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
