OLD FASHIONED STRING BEANS

Saute 4 slices bacon (cut into 1/4ths) until nearly crisp. Put can of string beans (or use fresh beans) into 2 quart pot. Add 1/4 cup garlic or minced onion and bacon and cook until beans are tender. Drain a #303 can of whole or chunk tomatoes...adding only the tomatoes to the beans. Heat and serve. Season to your taste.
