Apple Sauce Cake

2 cups flour
2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 cup nuts
1 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 tbsp cocoa
1 cup raisins
2 cups applesauce

Soften raisins in hot water, drain. (If applesauce is sweet, use 3/4 cup sugar). Add all ingredients and mix except the butter, add it last. Pour into greased 9 by 13 inch pan. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven. If the center of the cake is soft, bake a little longer.
