Bruschetta

1 loaf French bread baguette
1 cup fresh summer tomatoes, minced and drained
2 tbsp fresh basil, slivered
2 tbsp green onion, minced
1 clove garlic minced
1 tbsp olive oil
Splash of balsamic vinegar
Pinch red pepper flakes, (opt)
Salt
Pepper
Whole basil leaves

First cut bread into 1/3 inch slices and rub with an extra cut piece of garlic. Then brush with more olive oil. Broil or grill till crisp. Mix all topping ingredients and sit at room temp 1 hour or more. Strain excess juice before serving. Pile mixture on crisps, top with basil leaf.
