Butterscotch Pie Filling

1 pie shell
 
1 lb brown sugar    )   Place in skillet. Boil until disspobed, using wooden spoon.
1/4 lb butter)
1/2 cup milk)
Add To Above:
4 egg yolks
6 heaping tbsp flour
2 cups milk
Pinch of salt

Boil all until thick, stirring constantly.
Use egg whites for topping whipped with 6 tablespoons of sugar.
