Cherry Tarts

30 almonds slivered, and toasted in butter
6 pastry canapes
Cherry jam
1/2 cup cream, whipped with 2 tbsp sugar

Fill canapes with jam. Top with whipped cream and top with slivered almonds. This is a dessert that can be readily put together. Freeze a package of canape shells and use any jam in place of cherry. Good looking as well as tasty.
