Cherry Torte

1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
1 and 1/2 cup flour
1 and 1/2 cup quick oats
1/8 tsp salt

Mix about together until crumbly. Take out 2 cups for topping. Press remainder into 7 and 1/2 inch by 12 inch or 9 inch by 9 inch pan. Put 2 cans of cherry pie filling on bottom layer. Put on topping we reserved. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes and 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
