Karin Wagner's Chili

Chili

2 medium sized yellow onions
3 cloves of garlic
1 green pepper

1 and 1/2 pounds of lean ground beef
One 30 ounce can of chili beans
Two 15 ounce cans of stewed Mexican recipe tomatoes
One 15 ounce can tomato sauce

seasoning:

1 packet chili seasonings
2 to 3 tablespoons chili powder
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Oregano
black pepper

Sauté onions, green peppers, and garlic in a stock pot with a little olive oil, until onions are translucent. Pour into bowl and set aside. In same stock pot brown ground beef. When beef is almost browned sprinkle chili packet over beef. Grind fresh black pepper over beef.

Add onions, green peppers, and garlic mixture back into stock pot add tomato sauce. Add chopped Mexican style tomatoes. Add chili beans. Add remaining seasons to taste.

Cover and simmer on low for one hour.
