Marti's Chicken Soup

Marti's Chicken Soup

2 packages (32 oz) low sodium chicken broth
1 package (32 oz) vegetable broth
1/2 cup Sangria (boones farm brand)
1/2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2/3 cup Trader Joe's harvest grain blend
1/2 tsp dill weed
1/2 tsp thyme
1 tsp sweet basil
1/4 tsp celery seed
2 tsp Johnny's pork, chicken, and turkey seasoning
2 or 3 (16 oz) packages frozen veggies
1 pound cooked meat (I use marinated chicken breast), cut into 1/2 inch pieces

  1. In a 6 to 8 quart pot put all the broth, balsamic vinegar and harvest grains.
  2. Cover, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
  3. Stir occasionally to prevent harvest grains from sticking to bottom of pan.
  4. Add spices.
  5. Warm precooked meat in microwave, add to soup.
  6. Heat frozen veggies in microwave according to package directions.
  7. Add veggies to soup.
  8. Bring back to boil, reduce heat, simmer for five minutes.
  9. Remove from heat, uncover, stir and let sit for five minutes.

The chicken best for this recipe is Marti's Marinated Chicken Breat.
