Pepper Poppers

(2 DOZEN)

12 Fresh jalapenos, halved lengthwise and seeded.
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened.
1 cup (4 oz) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup (4 oz) shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Garlic powder
1/4 tsp Chili powder
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs.
6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled (optional)

In a mixing bowl, combine cheeses, bacon and seasonings; mix well. Fill and pack down into each pepper half. Roll in bread crumbs. Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake, uncovered at 300 degrees.

20 minutes for spicy
30 minutes for medium
40 minutes for mild.

I recommend using rubber gloves when handling the peppers.
