Sausage with Bean Chowder

1 large can diced tomatoes
1/2 to 1 can tomato paste (to taste)
4 cans beef broth (see note below)
1 and 1/2 pounds italian sausage
1 med/lg onion (cut in pieces)
3 green bell peppers (cut in pieces)
2 or 3 cloves garlic (chopped) or use garlic powder
1 large can kidney beans (slightly drained)
2 or 3 medium sized potatoes (cubed)
Italian seasoning (to taste)
salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)

Note: 2 cans water (using tomato can to measure) and 3 or 4 boullion cubes can be substituted for the beef broth.

PREPARATION

Remove casing and break up italian sausage or use bulk ground. Fry in soup pot until browned. Add all ingredients except for potato and green peppers. Cover and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low and simmer for approx. 30 to 40 minutes. Add potatoes and peppers and simmer until potatoes are done.
